Our rules evolved as we went, and are rather loose, but here they are:
- No artificial sweeteners
- No agave syrup
- Honey, as raw as possible*
- Dried fruits, such as dates/raisins*
- Eat foods as close to their natural states as possible.
- Fruit is our candy!
We read our labels, and do our best, but we try not to be OCD about it all.
*Occasionally, as a treat. Use caution, for those of us who were
crack sugar addicts.
